Canada’s own IndyCar driver Alex Tagliani unveiled his new race suit and his Hot Wheels customized #77 race car and it looks almost as good as his beautiful wife, Bronte (below, right), who was also at the event. The car was introduced during lunch time in Yonge-Dundas Square on Wednesday, July 14 to a large crowd of eager race and hot wheels fans.
FAZZT race team owner Andre Azzi joined Alex during the uncovering of the shiny car which was blue with the red and yellow Hot Wheels flame and highlighted with copper. The car will be raced starting in this weeks’ Honda Indy Toronto and Alex will drive in every IndyCar Series race this year. The Hot Wheels creative team came up with the design and it will be used for the car, driver’s suit and the pit crew uniform. The actual race car has been turned into a Hot Wheels 1:64 scale replica which, along with other cars in the Indy series such as Danica Patrick and Paul Tracy, will be available for purchase in Canada in the spring of 2011. Alex had Hot Wheels when he was a child and the racing and the Hot Wheels association is a “dream come true” for him. He thanked both Bowers and Wilson as well as the Hot Wheels team for their design creations.
