Pizza Pizza sponsors Caitlin Johnson in the Nascar Canadian Tire Series and Caitlin met with the media in the morning before the Canadian Tire Jumpstart 100 race. She races both stockcar and open wheel race cars.
She plans to keep her nose clean in the first few laps then will open up the throttle during the rest of the race. Her hope was not to be as she ended up finishing the race in the pits, above. Here is when she had just spun around in turn one, did a quick U-turn and stomped on the gas.
She hopes to run in the US Nascar camping series in the next couple of years. Like Danica she would like to race in other series if offered the chance. She also wants to see more women in motorsports. She gets a lot of support from her parents (below) who travel with her during the racing season.
